Sidhhant Motion Pictures presents, ‘Malumadi’, a heartfelt ode to motherhood in Gujarati cinema

Article

Gujarati cinema is ready to welcome a
film that doesn’t stay confined to the screen but quietly finds its way into
the heart of the audience. “Malumadi”, presented by Sidhhant Motion Pictures
and produced by Vikram Patolia and Kiran Khokhani, is set to release in
theatres on 30th January 2026.

This is not the story of a fictional
heroine.
This is the story of every Gujarati household’s mother.

Fondly known as “Gujarat’s Mother India”,
Malumadi is an emotional contribution to the selfless love, quiet strength and
unspoken sacrifices of Gujarati mothers, a form of motherhood that steps back
so the family can move forward.

Directed with sensitivity by Milan Joshi,
Malumadi explores love, sacrifice and the unbreakable bond of family in a way
that resonates across generations. It is a clean, family-friendly film, rooted
in emotion, values and truth.

Where emotion meets tradition

Malumadi tells a story that lives, in one
form or another, in every Gujarati home,
where a mother stands tall as the emotional pillar of the family.

This line from the film captures its
soul:
“I refuse to carry the burden of sins created by divisions of caste and
identity.”

These words are more than dialogue.
They reflect a mother’s moral courage, choosing humanity over social prejudice.

The film addresses contemporary social
realities with sensitivity, while reminding us that the true strength of a
family lies in love, not division.

Music that lingers long after

The film’s music is composed by Harman
Mer, with lyrics penned by Kiran Khokhani. The title track, in particular,
captures the essence of maternal love and silent sacrifice with such simplicity
that the emotion speaks louder than words.

Performances that feel real

In the lead role, Bharti Thakkar delivers
a performance that is not just watched but deeply felt. It stands among her
most powerful and emotionally rich portrayals to date.

She is supported by a strong ensemble
cast, including
Aakash Pandya, Priyam Talavia, Gurubhai Jethwa, Diya Bhatt, Vijay Jhala,
Ashitosh Solanki,
along with veteran actors Ashok Patel and Niharika Dave, who add depth and
authenticity to the narrative.

Cinematographer Jayesh Kaushik brings
visual realism and warmth to the film. The project is managed by Parth Navadia,
with Bharat Donda serving as Production Head.

Producer Vikram Patolia shares,

“Malumadi is not just a film, it’s the
story of every home.
A mother quietly holds everything together, without ever asking to be seen.
This film is our humble attempt to honour the emotions of all such mothers.”

With digital promotions led by Nexa
Infotech, Malumadi has already begun creating an emotional connection on social
media. The trailer has received encouraging responses on YouTube and Instagram,
with #malumadifilm steadily gaining popularity.
