Dangal TV Launches ‘Jhallee’: A Moving Story of Friendship, Resilience, and Choices

Article

Dangal TV, a channel acclaimed for its socially impactful programming, has announced its latest drama series Jhallee. Set against the culturally rich backdrop of Punjab, the show explores the emotional journey of two inseparable friends whose bond is tested by love, loyalty, and life-altering decisions.

Continuing its tradition of delivering narratives that resonate deeply with audiences, Dangal TV is set to premiere Jhallee, a heartfelt tale centered on friendship, simplicity, and inner strength. Developed under the creative vision of Managing Director Manish Singal, the show seeks to challenge societal norms by shedding light on the often-overlooked lives of individuals who are differently abled.

Set in Punjab, Jhallee captures the innocence and emotional richness of rural India while delving into complex themes of ambition, intellect, and social dominance. The series stars Pratham Kunwar as Nirvair, Isha Kaloya as Amrit, and Apeksha Malviya in the titular role of Noor, affectionately called “Jhallee.”

The story unfolds through the deep bond shared between Noor and Amrit, childhood friends with contrasting upbringings. Noor, portrayed by Malviya, is simple, honest, and emotionally grounded, while Amrit, played by Kaloya, comes from an affluent background yet remains deeply connected to her friend. Their unbreakable friendship begins to unravel with the arrival of Nirvair, a mysterious new figure who brings emotional turbulence into their lives.

A dramatic love triangle forms the crux of the narrative, where both friends are confronted with a difficult choice: remain loyal to each other or pursue their feelings for Nirvair. The tagline “Aadha Tera, Aadha Mera” poignantly encapsulates this internal and external conflict.

Sharing her experience, Apeksha Malviya said, “I’m extremely grateful to Dangal TV for giving me the opportunity to portray Noor, a character close to my heart. Noor’s journey from innocence to emotional awakening is powerful, and I believe viewers will deeply resonate with her transformation into ‘Jhallee.'”

Isha Kaloya described her role as Amrit, a devoted friend who values Noor above all else. “Amrit’s character is grounded in love and sacrifice. Her emotional strength is tested throughout the show, and I’m thankful to Dangal TV for trusting me with this layered role,” Kaloya noted.

Pratham Kunwar, who plays Nirvair, shared his excitement about the series. “It’s an honor to be part of Jhallee. The storyline offers emotional depth and compelling twists. I’m confident viewers will stay engaged with every episode,” he said.

Jhallee aims to spark conversations around inclusivity, personal sacrifice, and the complexities of human relationships, themes consistent with Dangal TV’s broader mission of producing socially relevant content.

The series will air every day at 8:30 PM on Dangal TV and will also be available for streaming on the Dangal Play app.
